With bold pottery and colorful arrangements, containers are like the jewelry of the garden. They're living art that can act as a focal point or be used as screening to create more privacy. In repetition they draw the eye around a space, they soften edges and warm up cold patios. They're the perfect solution to poor soil and when used vertically create lushness in even the smallest of space. Most commonly, we see them transform boring entryways into a charming and welcoming first impression for our guests. I truly believe that every garden can be elevated with a well-placed, right sized, perfect piece of pottery.
Choosing the right pottery can be overwhelming. It's important to get the scale right and aesthetics either need to compliment or contrast depending on where they're placed. I'm here to help you make the right choice. We handle everything, from helping you source new containers, managing delivery, creating sensational designs for each season, and installation of all soil and plant materials. We can also provide ongoing maintenance to ensure your container garden is always looking its best.
The first step is an in-person meeting. Together, we'll flush out all your ideas for your new container garden. As we walk the site, we'll examine existing containers and discuss the potential for new pottery. Inspiration photos or requests for specific plants (if applicable) should be communicated during this meeting.
After we meet, an estimate will be provided for container gardening services. A 50% deposit is due upon acceptance and the balance is due at installation. Consultation fees apply.
Installation day is exciting! We'll schedule delivery of any new pottery, soil, and plants with you in advance. Plants are selected based on preferences discussed during the consultation and with consideration to seasonal availability.
Before we leave, we'll walk you through your new container garden and discuss maintenance recommendations.
The final invoice is due upon completion of the project.
Depending on your preferences, we service containers quarterly, bi-annually, or annually creating designs that reflect the heart of each season.
Pruning, deadheading, fertilizing, and replacing seasonal annuals are all routine maintenance tasks needed to keep your container looking at its best. Every few years the soil in your containers should also be replaced.
